Toddler Lead Teacher, Mill Creek (Full-Time)

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Commitment to a values-based approach in both personal and professional life, in alignment with the principles and teachings of Christianity, including belief in Jesus Christ and an understanding of Christian values.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or currently enrolled.
  • TB Test.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications upon hiring (Child Care Basics, First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, ECE Initial Certificate (12 Credits) within 5 years, ECE Short Certificate (20 Credits) within 2 years of completing Initial Certificate, 10-Hour Annual In-Service Training, Food Handlers & Safe Sleep if applicable).

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, and compile age-appropriate teaching materials.
  • Plan and design engaging activities for children.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
  • Provide basic care services, including feeding, hygiene, and toileting.
  • Monitor and enhance children’s learning capacity.
  • Foster positive communication among children, preventing conflicts.
  • Identify and address behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with parents and provide regular updates on children’s progress.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the learning environment.
  • Monitor children’s health and report concerns.
  • Ensure teaching practices comply with educational standards and regulations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education or related coursework.
  • 2 years of experience as a Child Care Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Knowledge of child development processes and techniques.
  • Patience and problem-solving skills
