Classroom Aide/Floater, Mill Creek (Full-Time)
A Classroom Aide plays a vital role in providing support to lead and assistant teachers in creating a safe and positive learning environment for young children. Someone with experience working or volunteering with children and familiar with child development techniques will be considered for this role.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- Commitment to a values-based approach in both personal and professional life, in alignment with the principles and teachings of Christianity, including belief in Jesus Christ and an understanding of Christian values.
- Pass a background check.
- Be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or currently enrolled.
- TB Test.
- Willingness to obtain certifications upon hiring (Child Care Basics, First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, 10-Hour Annual In-Service Training if working over 19 hours per month, Food Handlers & Safe Sleep if applicable).
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support in supervising and caring for children.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Keep the learning area clean and hygienic.
- Support lead and assistant teachers as needed.
- Provide coverage during the teacher’s break or lunch period.
