Daycare Assistant, Federal Way (Full-Time)

The Daycare Assistant provides care for children, such as setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning rooms and toys. This position also maintains a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain)
  • Decisiveness, patience, and stamina to interact with students.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of stages of childhood development.
  • Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children
  • Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
