MERRY
CHRISTMAS
FROM THE TREAT FAMILY

We pray you have had a great year and believe 2024 will be filled with God’s best. Our faith remains unwavering and through every season, especially this one, we are reminded how good it is to walk with Jesus and keep Him at the center.
I wasn’t raised in a Godly household and when Wendy and i started our family, Christmas was all new. I suddenly realized that all the other things are fun and add to the memories of the Christmas Season. Now we use everything to celebrate Jesus and point our family to Him!
We started compiling a little list of our favorite Christmas traditions. We hope you enjoy them and embrace them as your own. and through everything – point our families to the greatest miracle of all, the gift of Jesus with us!
10 CHRISTMAS
FAMILY TRADITIONS
1. Read the Christmas Story.
a. Luke 1:26-2:40
b. Matthew 1:18-2:12
c. John 1:1-18
d. Isaiah 7:19
e. Isaiah 9:6-7
f. Micah 5:2
2. Make some hot chocolate, turn on Christmas music and decorate Christmas cookies.
3. Enjoy some Christmas lights and Christmas cheer. Spanaway lights in Spanaway, Snowflake Lane in Bellevue, or Fir Grove in Everett are all a lot of fun! (Maybe use #7 as a good conversation starter).
4. Take your family photo in front of the huge Christmas tree at church and at the Santa Booth!
5. Select a family and “be the miracle” this season. Either bless them with gifts, or make them cookies, and invite them to church.
6. Attend “The Miracle” both weeks they are at church. December 10th and 17th.
7. Gratitude is important in every season, but especially important to remember and nurture in the holidays. Go through this Gratitude Advent Calendar every day starting on December 1st. Click for the free download.
8. Attend the Candlelight service at church all together (and hope no one lights their hair on fire!)
9. Open one present from under the tree on Christmas Eve after Candlelight service.
10. Keep Jesus at the center or the Christmas season — listen to great Christmas music. Here is our current Christmas Playlist on Spotify and Apple Music.
