“You are a Christian because somebody cared. Now it’s your turn.”  I read this quote some time ago and thought it very appropriate for those of us who know Christ.  In Romans 1:14-15, the apostle Paul said it this way: “I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.  So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you.”

There’s no way we can ever repay God for what He’s done for us.  Sacrificing His own Son to enable us to have a relationship with Him…that’s truly priceless!  However, we do owe something to everyone around us, and that something is to share this good news of what God has done.  You didn’t deserve to hear about God’s goodness but someone cared about you, someone prayed for you, someone talked to you.  Now you can pay on that debt and care, pray and talk to someone else.

With every person you come in contact with this week, see it as an opportunity to share God’s love in some way.  Don’t try to do it exactly like others do it.  Be yourself, be real, and allow God to influence people and speak to people through you.  Every time you attempt to reach someone for God, you’re paying on your debt.  And every payment you make is guaranteed to bring a fantastic return in lives drawn to Him!
